Live Music-Livestream Updates/Etc./Northern Cali 6/8/2021

Here is the current batch of listings of Live and DJ music opening up in the San Francisco Bay Area/Northern California.

Pacific Mambo Orchestra play their first live dates as we transition to post CIVID times this Friday, June 11th at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena. The Blue Note Napa is presenting Grammy Award winning orchestra with two shows at 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. For information, go to www.bluenotenapa or pacificmambo.com.

Renowned Cuban vocalist Bobi Cespedes will be live-streaming her current “Mujer Y Cantante” show from Berkeley’s Freight and Salvage on Saturday, June 12 starting at 6 pm brought to you by Montuno Productions. This is a pay per view livestream featuring Bobi’s smokin’ band with musical director Marco Diaz. For tickets and more information, go to www.thefreight.org.

The dynamic Edgardo Cambon & LaTiDo group will headline the Salsa Sundays at the Seahorse in Sausalito on June 13, followed by Louie Romero’s Mazacote on the 20th. Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca play on Sat. 6/26. DJ Greigo spins on Sundays; KPOO and KPFA DJ Jose Ruiz spins a 5 hour set on Saturdays from 4:30-9:30 pm.

Rocky’s Market in Oakland have been featuring the likes of the hot Pellejo Seco, Mio Flores and Friends, Josh Jones Salsa Band and the revamped Salsa Caliente on Sundays starting at 6 pm. Future bookings include vocalist/percussionist Braulio Barrera’s group Somos El Son who will play there on Sunday June 27th.

Also coming to Rocky’s on Friday, June 25th at 6 pm will be an All Star Charanga blowout organized by percussionist Javier Navarette. Featured artists joining Navarette on stage will be Anthony Blea (in one of his only appearances this Summer), Orlando Torriente, Marco Diaz, Ayla Davila, Juan Ceballos, Michael Spiro, Raul Navarette and other special guests.

Jaffe Events continue to present DJ events this coming weekend with Cubania Total featuring DJ Leydis De Cuba and DJ Antonio on Sat, June 12, 8 pm to Midnight at the New Parish in Oakland. The following day on Sunday, June 13, the latest edition of Salsa By The Bay featuring DJ Tony O and DJ Walt Digz will take place from 6 to 9:30 pm at District Six, 428 11th Street in San Francisco.
