Sabiduria Con Tumbao on WorldSalsaRadio.com on Pause for now!

I am putting my radio program “Sabiduria Con Tumbao” on WorldSalsaRadio.com on temporary pause for now. My last regularly scheduled Sabiduria Con Tumbao live program will be broadcast this coming Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 5 pm on WSR. I was approached by WSR’s brainchild, founder and CEO Felipe Martinez a.k.a. DJ ElDeLaClaveSF and co-founders Orlando Felix (DJ Boricua) and Ivette Fuentes (DJ Coqui – who has since left WSR) to host and produce a program for this internet radio startup that includes an on-air staff from all over the world. I started the program at the launch of WorldSalsaRadio.com in July 2020 during the heaviest period of the COVID pandemic.

The result was this conceptual program that includes artist profiles, the Six at 6 PM spotlight that features six tracks (plus at times, bonus tracks) on an artist, group or theme, occasional interviews with artists and a range of explosive Afro-Latin music that includes Classic to Modern Salsa, Latin Jazz, Musica Cubana and more. I have produced more than 125 weekly programs in a period that spanned close to 2 years, 10 months worth of programs.

However personal changes which that includes a new job, new projects and moving to a new home have recently impacted me to the point that I cannot continue to broadcast the program live on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM PST. I want to thank the listeners and the staff of WSR for the opportunity and privilege of producing the program. I appreciate your support and listenership. I will hopefully be coming back to WSR in the near future in a new time slot and day for the program.

I will continue to broadcast Con Sabor, now going on its 26th year on Saturday evenings 9 to 11 PM PST on KPFA 94.1 FM and www.kpfa.org
