Music Highlights for this Post Thanksgiving Week

Today Sunday, November 26rh, there will be a special appearance of Grammy Award winners Pacific Mambo Orchestra performing the music of Tito Puente, Machito and Tito Rodriguez…the Mambo Kings of the Palladium era at the Seahorse, 305 Harbor Drive in Sausalito starting at 5 pm. This will be a special afternoon to catch this great big band throwing down classic mambo and dance music for the dancers. DJ Jose Ruiz will spin music in-between the sets tonight. Cuban piano phenom Harold Lopez-Nussa will bring his excellent group featuring his brother Ruy Lopez-Nussa on drums and Swiss born harmonica player and composer Gregoire Maret. Harold Lopez-Nussa will be featuring selections from his dynamic Blue Note release “Timba A La Americana”. The album marks a significant chapter in Lopez-Nussa’s life: his recent move to France from his native Cuba. Harold is not only a phenomenal player, improviser and composer but his compositions are playful, joyful and fiery leading to an explosive interplay with his fellow musicians. Don’t miss it!
