This week Sabiduria Con Tumbao on WorldSalsaRadio.com celebrated the return of live music and the gradual reopening of music venues in California and the US. It’s been a long year for anyone involved in the live music business from musicians, DJ’s, promoters, sound and stage crews, etc. I featured live tracks from El Gran Combo, Edwin El Calvito Reyes and Mandy Cantero of Los Van Van giving tribute to Adalberto Alvarez, Richie Ray/Bobby Cruz, Bobby Valentin w/Marvin Santiago and Hector Lavoe sprinkled throughout the program

Sabiduria Con Tumbao celebrated the birthday of Andy Montañez, one of the iconic voices in Salsa on tonight’s Six at 6 pm segment. Andy whose powerful voice has graced recordings from his glory days with El Gran Combo, Dimension Latina and the Puerto Rico All Stars to his successful solo career and he’s still going strong at the age of 79. I also gave tribute to El Dia Del Son Cubano which was widely celebrated in Cuba on Saturday, May 8th
