Joining Omar will be Moroccan vocalist Bouchaib Abdellhadi, Peruvian percussionist Juan Medrona Cotito, American bassist Geoff Brennan with special appearance by Peruvian dancer Pierr Padilla Vasquez.

The band have been working on putting together their new recording. I was impressed after hearing three of their new songs “I Have What You Want”, “Sola Te Quedaste” and “Nadie Sabe Nada”.

Sabiduria Con Tumbao featured a Six at 6 pm segment tribute to Fania All Stars member, Bandleader, Bongo legend and Dancer Roberto Roena who turned 81 years old this month. Roena, a true showman has had a star studded career since joining Rafael Cortijo’s group at the tender age of 16. He later joined El Gran Combo before forming his group, The Apollo Sound in 1969.
