Sandwiched within these smokin’ bookends was a program full of explosive Salsa, percolating Latin Jazz and Musica Cubana pa’ Bailar y Gozar.

This week, Sabiduria Con Tumbao gave Part One of a salute to the swinging trombone players in Salsa featuring everyone from Beny More’s Generoso Jimenez to Spanish Harlem Orchestra’s Doug Beavers and all the great trombonists in-between. The Six at 6 pm salute was to the legendary bandleader and one of the co-founders of Fania Records, Johnny Pacheco!
