Mario “Mayito” Solomon is the renowned bandleader, timbalero and vocalist for one of SF Bay Area”s based hot bands “Mario Y Su Timbeko”. The band have been working on putting together their new recording. I was impressed after hearing three of their new songs “I Have What You Want”, “Sola Te Quedaste” and “Nadie Sabe Nada”.

Sabiduria Con Tumbao featured a Six at 6 pm segment tribute to Fania All Stars member, Bandleader, Bongo legend and Dancer Roberto Roena who turned 81 years old this month. Roena, a true showman has had a star studded career since joining Rafael Cortijo’s group at the tender age of 16. He later joined El Gran Combo before forming his group, The Apollo Sound in 1969.
