On Sat. 2/6, I featured an interview with the legendary Salsa pianist Richie Ray (born Richard Maldonado) of the famed duo of Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz. Richie Ray has just come out with the recording “Salsa Jazz and Beethoven” featuring the break out hit “La Reina Abeja” which is Richie’s salsafied take on “The Flight Of The Bumble Bee“. Richie also shared a lot of great stories regarding his long career, his successes, his conversion to Christianity and his comeback to secular music both as a solo artist and with Bobby Cruz.
