Con Sabor with yours truly, Luis Medina celebrated the late, great Ray Barretto’s birthday (born April 29, 1929; died Feb. 17, 2006) on this program with his classic version of “Cocinando” from the recording “Que Viva La Musica” which came out 50 years ago this year! The program also featured an interview with Eli and Khalil Jacobs-Fantauzzi, filmmakers of the new documentary “Bakoso-Afrobeats of Cuba” which aired on PBS.
