Con Sabor on KPFA 94.1 FM and www.kpfa.org featured an interview with rising star powerhouse vocalist Christelle Durandy (pictured left with PMO 1/2020 at Yoshi’s. Photo: Luis Medina) who is part of the Grammy Award winning orchestra Pacific Mambo Orchestra as well as have worked with NY’s Cocomama, The Cabanijazz Project, Rumbache and others. The program also featured a birthday salute to “Mr Afinique” Willie Rosario who turned 91 this past week and new music by Jose Alberto “El Canario” from the Joe Arroyo tribute “En Barranquilla Me Quedo”, The Latin Heartbeat Orchestra and Carlos Jimenez.
