Herman Olivera coming, Weekend happenings!

El Sonero Del Siglo XX1…Herman Olivera is coming to Roccapulco on Saturday, September 16th presented by Jaffe Events. Olivera has spent a good part of close to 3 decades as the lead vocalist for el Maestro Eddie Palmieri. Olivera vocal prowess and Palmieri’s musical genius made a winning combination as both exciting performers and incredible improvisors both live and on recordings. (Palmieri now 87, just announced his temporary retirement for health reasons.)

The celebrated vocalist has been busy recording his own explosive music as well as making high-profile guest appearances on recordings such as Gilberto Santa Rosa’s Colegas. Olivera electrifies the crowd with his own unique style of presentation which showcases his dynamic voice and gift of improvisation known as soneo. He does this quite often at Salsa Congresses or at a prestigious club with his orchestra or teaming up with Jimmy Bosch “El Trombon Criollo:” Olivera has also sang lead on recordings with giants of Salsa such as Manny Oquendo’s Libre, Tito Puente, Johnny Pacheco, Isidro Infante, Javier Fernandez, the New York Salsa All Stars with Frankie Vazquez.
