Sabiduria Con Tumbao celebrated the birthday of Andy Montañez, one of the iconic voices in Salsa on tonight’s Six at 6 pm segment. Andy (pictured left) whose powerful voice has graced recordings from his glory days with El Gran Combo, Dimension Latina and the Puerto Rico All Stars to his successful solo career and he’s still going strong at the age of 79. I also gave tribute to El Dia Del Son Cubano which was widely celebrated in Cuba on Saturday, May 8th with a fine selection of great son from an all star array of bands and performers.
