Salsa legend Willie Colón will be headlining the Live Nation produced Cafe Con Leche mega show on Saturday, July 15th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. This multi-genre Latin music extravaganza are Merengue veteran hit makers Los Hermanos Rosario, Bachata giant Hector “El Torito” Acosta, Salvadorean Cumbia stars Los Hermanos Flores, Latin Urban fusionist Fulanito and more to be announced . There will be an Homenaje A Larry Harlow outdoor Salsa dance Concert on Saturday, May 13, 2 to 6 pm at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 800 Foster City Boulevard in Foster City. This Montuno Productions event celebrating the music of the late bandleader and pianist Larry Harlow “El Judio Maravilloso” of the Fania All Stars and Orquesta Harlow fame will feature the hot Latin vibes sounds of VibraSON and the explosive sounds of the MP All Stars Salsa Project featuring several Grammy Award with special guest bandleader/perucssionist/educator Bobby Sanabria! More Happenings: Guitarist extraordinare Ray Obiedo and his Latin Jazz Ensemble appear tonight and tomorrow at the new Keys Jazz Bistro in San Francisco’s North Beach district at 498 Broadway. Obiedo, whose has been both a bandleader and a featured guitarist with the Pete Escovedo orchestra, has assembled a crack band featuring trombonist Jeff Cressman, pianist Murray Low, percussionist Michael Spiro, bassist David Belove and drummer Phil Hawkins.
