New Releases-Little Johnny Rivero & More News

Renowned percussionist/conguero “Little” Johnny Rivero has just released an exciting new Salsa recording “Cuero Duro” on Mod Squad recordings with a fresh talent, Alberto Almonte on lead vocals.  The lead single is a Little Johnny composition “Quien Te Ha Dicho” which features the smooth voice of Almonte.  A swinging rendition of “Mi Corazon Te Llama” features the great talents of el maestro Eddie Palmieri on piano and Jimmy Bosch on trombone.  Little Johnny shines on a blistering solo on the title track “Cuero Duro”.  Little Johnny was the conga player for La Sonora Ponceña for 18 years and recorded many of their classic big hits.  He has been an integral part of Eddie Palmieri’s orchestra for more than a decade. Little Johnny has previously released two fine Salsa and Latin Jazz recordings ‘Pasos Gigantes” and “Music In Me”. He is on a serious roll and continues his momentum with this new release.
