SF Bay Area Salsa Notas 12/27/2020

Happy Holidays! Vocalist Carlos Xavier has released two singles for the holiday season: his new Salsa single “Prometo” composed by pop star Pablo Alboran which is produced and arranged by keyboardist Efrain “Junito” Davila. Second, his remake of the Donny Hathaway classic “This Christmas” done in a RnB/Salsa in English style produced by SF Bay based keyboardist Erick Peralta. Both of these singles are available on all digital platforms.

DJ Livestreams in Latin music are still going strong on digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitch.tv, You Tube, Instagram, etc. DJ Walt Digz is still going strong with his Wednesday night Timba nights 7 to 10 pm PST on Twitch.tv. Co-Beat Party produced by former Cafe Cocomo DJ Hong is still featuring primarily Salsa Congress type of Salsa/Mambo DJ turntablists from around their world daily on Facebook. DJ Tony O is now hosting his version of commercial Latinx tropical mixed with pop hits and RnB on his Es Tu Ritmo Radio on Facebook. There are variations of these offerings along with the occasional on-line concerts. Best way to find out about these miscellaneous livestream DJ happenings and concerts is to keep on-line surfing!!
